Law office "Pravovyi Zakhyst" (License No.1-4669 dated 23 Feb 99) was founded by Sokolovskiy Vladislav Vyacheslavovich on January 10, 1999. Later, on February 22, 2005, with intent of granting more qualitative juridical assistance to the clients, lawyers of law office "Pravovyi Zakhyst" initiated the lawyers association "Legal Firm "Sokolovskiy and Partners". As part of lawyers association, the lawyers and the employees (associate lawyers and attorneys) may enjoy great rights, granted them by the Law of Ukraine "On Bar". The norms of stated law entrust all employees of the legal firm with responsibility to keep advocate secrets. The subject of advocate secret is the items, the natives or legal bodies address with to the lawyers, the substance of consultation, advice, clarifications and other data, received by the lawyer in the exercise of his professional duty (article 9, "On Bar").

Any intrusion in advocacy as well as claiming the data, forming the advocate secrets from the lawyer, associate lawyers, official bodies and support staff is prohibited. On these questions they cannot examined as witnesses. The documents, connected with carrying out the lawyer's commission are not the subject of examination, disclosure or withdrawal without his consent (article 10 "On Bar").

It ought to be noted that at present, the activity of legal services providing is not licensed and agreeably, the quality of services is not examined. In lawyer associations the case is far different, as they are registered in Ministry of Justice of Ukraine, which employees monitor their activity. Furthermore the quality of provided services can be examined by qualified advocacy committee, which had issued the certificate to the lawyer. There are some advantages for the clients if their interests in court are represented by the legal firm. With reference to the norms of civil procedural and economic procedure codes, the lawyer (lawyers associations) costs are restituted at the expense of defeated party - this allows to reduce the cost of juridical expenses.

By the results of the eleventh annual research of the newspaper "Legal practice" "Legal firms 2007", the lawyer association "Sokolovskiy and Partners" was included into ratings: "50 leading legal firms of Ukraine", "50 leading legal firms by a profit level", and also, according to ratings of the newspaper "Legal practice" for 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009, the lawyer association "Sokolovskiy and Partners" is recognised to be one of 50 leading legal firms in Ukraine by financial efficiency.

Judicial contests with rating authorities are among the main types of legal services given by the lawyer association "Sokolovskiy and Partners" to its Clients. The considerable quantity of the affairs mentioned and positive practice of their solutions were noted by the newspaper "Legal practice" in section "19 greatest public disputes in the field of the taxation" (research of the market of legal services of Ukraine for 2009).
